Game server hosting has changed alot over the years. People want better performance, easy management and most importantly, they want to have control over their own servers.
This is basically why Reviactyl was created.
Reviactyl is a modern and open-source game server management panel which lets you manage your game servers from one place. It is built for people who want to host their own servers, run a hosting business, or just want something better and more modern for managing their game servers.
Unlike traditional hosting panels, Reviactyl is focused on giving you more control while still keeping everything simple to use.
So, What is Reviactyl?
Reviactyl is a game server management panel built using modern technologies like Laravel, React, FilamentPHP, Vite and Go.
The main idea is pretty simple. You install Reviactyl on your own infrastructure and use it to manage your game servers.
You don't have to rely on some external dashboard or a company hosting the panel for you. Your infrastructure is yours, and you have full control over it.
Game servers are also run inside isolated Docker containers, which helps keep servers separated from each other and provides a more controlled environment.
Made For Self Hosting
One of the things we really like about Reviactyl is that you can self host it.
Got a VPS? You can use it.
Got a dedicated server? You can use that too.
Want to build your own game hosting company? Reviactyl can be used as the management layer for that.
You basically bring your own infrastructure and Reviactyl gives you the tools to manage everything from a web interface.
This also means you aren't forced into paying for a managed game hosting platform just to get a good management panel.
A Modern UI
Let's be honest, managing servers shouldn't feel like you're using software from 10 years ago.
Reviactyl comes with a modern and clean interface which is designed to make managing servers easier. We wanted something that actually feels good to use instead of just putting every possible option on the screen.
There is also a client-side theme selector, so users can choose the style they prefer.
Small things like this might not sound very important, but they make the panel much nicer to use everyday.
Customize It However You Want
Not every hosting provider works the same way.
Some people want a simple setup, while others might need custom integrations or features for their own hosting business.
That's why Reviactyl includes customization options and an Extensions API. Developers can use the API to create their own extensions and add functionality without having to change the entire core of the panel.
This is especially useful if you're building something specific for your own infrastructure.
Security & Performance
Security is also one of the important parts of Reviactyl.
Every game server runs inside its own Docker container, helping isolate workloads and making it easier to control how servers use system resources.
Reviactyl is built with performance in mind aswell. The project uses a modern technology stack including Laravel, React, Vite and Go, instead of relying completely on older technologies.
Open Source And Free
Probably one of the biggest things about Reviactyl is that it's open source and free.
The project is licensed under the MIT License, meaning you are free to use, modify and build on top of it.
You can look at the source code, make your own changes, contribute features or build your own tools around Reviactyl.
We believe game hosting software shouldn't lock you into one company.
Built On Pterodactyl
If you've used Pterodactyl before, some parts of Reviactyl might look familiar.
Reviactyl is built upon the Pterodactyl ecosystem, while bringing a more modern codebase, UI, security improvements and other changes to the experience.
The current stack includes Laravel 13, Filament 5, React 19, Vite and TypeScript, giving the project a modern foundation to build on.
Built For Everyone
You don't have to be a huge hosting company to use Reviactyl.
If you just want to run a Minecraft server for your friends, you can use it.
If you manage multiple servers, you can use it.
If you're building a game hosting business, you can use it.
The goal is to make a panel that works for all of these use cases without making the software unnecessarily complicated.
What's Next?
Reviactyl is still actively being developed and there is alot more planned for the future.
The project is completely open source, so improvements aren't limited to just the core team. Developers and community members can contribute, report issues and help make Reviactyl better.
The current project codename is Fission Falcon, which represents the current generation of Reviactyl development.
We're excited to see where it goes from here.
