This is a submission for Weekend Challenge: Generosity Edition What I Built Proof of Good turns an everyday act of generosity into a documented, shareable impact record. Your bank remembers every transaction you make. But when you buy meals for students, help someone pay a bill, or give supplies to a community, what remembers the good you did? Usually, the evidence ends up as a bank statement, a receipt buried in your camera roll, or a story that eventually gets forgotten. I wanted to build something that gives generosity a memory. With Proof of Good, you describe what you gave, who benefited, and what happened. You can then attach evidence such as a receipt or photo. The app takes that simple act and turns it into a proof of good receipt: Give → Prove → Analyze → Record → Listen → Share Demo Demo Link Code GitHub How I Built It Proof of Good is built with Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, with each external integration isolated behind its own server-side module. Google Gemini Gemini analyses the submitted evidence using a structured JSON response. I was particularly careful about how the AI is represented in the product. The system explicitly avoids language such as "verified" or "proven." Instead, the result is presented as an AI-assisted evidence assessment. An LLM can analyze whether submitted evidence appears consistent with a claim, but it cannot establish that an event definitely happened. Solana Instead of building an NFT or custom smart contract, each proof can be recorded as a memo transaction on Solana Devnet. This gives the act a real, publicly checkable on-chain record without making wallets, tokens, or gas the focus of the experience. ElevenLabs Each proof can also become a short spoken narration using ElevenLabs. This turns what would normally be a static receipt into something more human: a small story about what was given, who benefited and why it mattered. The Receipt The central UI is intentionally designed like a physical receipt rather than a conventional SaaS dashboard. It uses editorial typography, paper inspired styling, hairline dividers and a small gold seal to make the result feel like something worth keeping. The idea is simple: A bank gives you a receipt for spending money. Proof of Good gives you a receipt for doing good.
