The KODA Code Jam crowned its first Champion.
Now, we're going bigger.
Meet Scribe — the markdown formatter I built in 48 hours to solve a problem every developer faces:
"Why does formatting code snippets and documentation have to be so annoying?"
Scribe takes your messy markdown, your ugly code blocks, your chaotic documentation, and makes it beautiful. Instantly.
But here's the thing: Scribe is just the beginning.
🎪 ANNOUNCING: The Scribe Jam
Build niche documentation tools. Win eternal glory.
The Scribe Jam is a 7-day challenge where you build single-page apps that make documentation, markdown, or technical writing better for a specific niche.
Dates: sep 14 , 2026 to sep 21 , 2026
Theme: Documentation, Markdown, Code Formatting, Technical Writing Tools
🏆 THE CHALLENGE
Build a single-page web app (HTML + CSS + JS) that solves a documentation problem for ONE specific tribe.
Examples:
A LaTeX formatter for math students
A README generator for hackathon builders
A code snippet beautifier for bootcamp grads
A technical blog formatter for student writers
A API docs generator for backend newbies
A git commit message formatter for teams
The Rule: It must be for ONE niche. Not "everyone." Be specific.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

At least 50% built with AI help (KODA)

Deadline: sep 21 at 23:59 IST
Winner Announced: sep 23
💡 WHY THIS MATTERS
Documentation is the most underrated skill in programming.
You can build the most amazing app in the world, but if nobody can understand how to use it, it doesn't matter.
The Scribe Jam is about celebrating the builders who make code readable, accessible, and beautiful.
Whether you're formatting code snippets for your classmates, writing READMEs for your hackathon projects, or building tools that help others document better — this is your arena.
🐯 THE GEN-ALPHA MOVEMENT
Last month, we proved that:
Age doesn't matter
Budget doesn't matter
Your phone is enough
The KODA Code Jam had real submissions, real builders, and a real Champion (shoutout to Puneet and CrowdWide ).
Now we're doing it again.
This isn't just a hackathon. This is proof that Gen-Alpha is cooking.
