Over the past few days, I decided to experiment with an idea using vibe coding and Artificial Intelligence:
“What if I created a small operating system for kids that could run entirely inside a web browser?”
And that’s how Anne OS Kids was born.
This project was created as a tribute to my daughter, Anne, who really enjoys using the computer. My goal was to create something that could serve as her first introduction to computers and technology, in a simple, fun, and safe way.
Using vibe coding, I turned the idea into a working project with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with AI acting as a development partner throughout the process.
The result is a browser-based environment that simulates a small operating system, featuring:
Paint, Text Editor, Calculator, Music, Animal World, Worldinho, Excelzinho, Educational Games, Achievements & Scoring, Files, Profile, Settings, and more
And the best part: everything runs directly in the browser. No installation required.
Of course, it isn't a real operating system. It's a web experience designed to simulate a computer environment while running safely inside the browser.
For me, this project also represents an important moment in my career.
I am a Logistics professional currently transitioning my career into Technology.
My journey started in logistics operations and evolved through BI, data analysis, automation, and Python. Today, I am deepening my knowledge in Software Engineering and software development.
Vibe coding has been an incredible tool throughout this transition. It allows me to take an idea, experiment, learn, make mistakes, fix them, and most importantly, turn ideas into something that actually works.
And this time, the inspiration came from home.
My daughter.
Maybe Anne OS Kids is small compared to the huge systems built around the world.
But to me, it represents something much bigger:
a way to bring together my career transition, my learning journey in technology, and a tribute to my daughter in one project, and who knows? Maybe one day she'll build something even more incredible than her dad.
Anne OS Kids — a little computer inside the browser, created to learn, play, and take the first steps into the world of technology.
